Christmas at Longwood Gardens

Every year since around 1922, Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square Pennsylvania has put Christmas lights on display throughout their conservatory and the gardens. They have over 6,000 seasonal flowers on display.  My daughter, her friend Nicole and I went to see the display this year and we were not disappointed!

The Christmas trees they had decorated, the wreaths and the seasonal flowers were simply stunning!  On their site, they say it takes about three and a half to four hours to go through, even with as crowded as it was, (tickets sell out ALL the time, so it’s best to make sure you order yours online. There is no service charge.) we went through in about one and a half hours. I know we didn’t see every thing. But tonight was probably the coldest night this week!  Our noses and fingers were quite cold!  Take a look at some of the beautiful displays they had:

This is just a small sampling of what you will see at Longwood Gardens Christmas display. But it seems like WordPress isn’t being very nice and letting me upload anymore pictures! LOL.

If you’re in the area, the display runs until January 8th, so I recommend that you stop by to see it. You won’t be disappointed. I promise!

If you’ve been to Longwood Gardens anytime, how do you like it? Have you gone to the events they offer every season?  I missed the Nightscapes one they had in the fall!

I bought my daughter and I a membership so we can stop in whenever we choose to. While we haven’t gone to Longwood Gardens as much as I’d hoped, but I am looking forward to going more in the coming new year. The membership for Garden2 is $135. They give you the receipt and because they are a non-profit, you’re actually able to claim $99 on your taxes.
